Joe Ballor Towing Inc. has been proudly serving customers since 1939. We are a three generation family business. We offer over 30 trucks to serve all of your transporation needs.
In 1939 Joseph Ballor Sr. purchased property in New Haven at the corner of Gratiot Avenue and New Haven Road. Nearing the end of the Great Depression and the beginning of World War 2, times were challanging. The building was built in a way so that Joseph, and his wife Elizabeth could live in the upstairs. Joe Sr. earned a livinga by collecting and transporting scrap iron from the old New Haven Foundry and from farms around the area. He would deliver the iron by truck to the railroad in New Haven. Mr. Ballor would continue to process scrap in addition to towing and hauling through the 1980's.
